Specially designed to supplement GTSTE, these unique miniatures fill the gap among 15mm figure ranges of the
Mexican-American War for these signature supporting soldiers and civilian personnel, and allow players of GTSTE to represent
them in their table top games and bring their benefits to Mexican Army units.
All figures are cast in pewter for TVAG by Zombiesmith to ensure top
quality.
There are five bagged sets of castings available, each with its own distinct historical purpose in battle
and reflected in the rules.
SPM-1--Priests And Processional, 10 figures to provide spiritual comfort prior to battle, comprising 2 Priests,
4 Monks, 2 acolytes carrying banners, and 1 each with incense burner and cross.
SPM-2--A full Military Band, a moral mainstay of Mexican field
armies, carrying proper period instruments: 1 Bandmaster, 2 side and 1 bass drums,
2 fifes, 2 buccin (“BOO-san,” a dragon or snake headed precursor to the slide trombone),
2 cornets, 1 serpent (an archaic leather bodied wind instrument then passing out of
fashion), and 1 ophicleide (a variety of tuba), totaling 12 figures. SPM-3-- Mexican fifes and drums, 5 each totaling 10 figures. SPM-4--Soldaderas for close support in action as well as in camp and on the march: 1 firing musket,
1 loading musket, 3 carrying food, 3 carrying supplies, and 4 carrying water, for 12 total figures. SPM-5--Mexican Military Health Corps Field Hospital consisting of 1 Senior Officer, 1 Surgeon, 6 litter bearers and
